CAREER JOURNEY

Since starting my career in accounting marketing, in 1998, I have developed a broad base of experience. I initially worked at a boutique consulting firm in suburban Chicagoland providing outsourced marketing services to accounting and CPA firms. Seeking a broader experience, I transitioned to working in the marketing department at KPMG in the Denver office. Eventually, a transition occurred, and I accepted a position as the Director of Marketing & Business Development for a three-office firm in Fort Lauderdale. This position facilitated the growth of both marketing and sales skills, specifically towards family offices, high net worth individuals, and for complex tax services. After several years working in a firm, I was compelled by my entrepreneurial spirit to start FlashPoint Digital. Although originally launched as an outsourced marketing company, we quickly shifted our focus and became one of the premier SEO providers for CPA and Chartered Accounting Firms.

After 20 years working in the industry and more than 10 focused on SEO, I have both technical knowledge and practical experience that attendees will gain important insights which can be used in their firm. Once an accounting marketer understands the power of the website as a tool to develop new business opportunities, and the ability to flip marketing from a cost center to revenue driver, then it becomes interesting.

I can be found exercising mostly running, and then reading books on history, politics, and polishing my Spanish language skills. In addition, I enjoy traveling to various places.
