HER CAREER JOURNEY

For more than 20 years, Kristen Lollar has served as a communications and marketing professional. She began her career in the legal industry and then transferred into the accounting world almost 11 years ago. Kristen is currently serving as the Chief Marketing Officer for Whitley Penn. She joined the firm in 2012 and watched it grow from a 100-person firm with two locations to a firm of 700 professionals in eight locations. Within the firm, Kristen is part of the Innovation Council, Growth Champions, and serves as an advisor for our NextGen Council.

She has developed a strong network with other accounting professionals by being involved with AAM, including the Major Growth Firms Group and previously the Diversity Equity & Inclusion Committee. Kristen has also been a member of the Advisory Board for the Boomer Consulting Marketing Circle while simultaneously serving on the North America Marketing and Marketing Committee for HLB International. In addition, she was part of the inaugural class to receive a certification in Business Development Fundamentals from AAM.

In the community, Kristen serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Plano Chamber of Commerce and serves as a mentor through the American Marketing Association’s DFW (Dallas/Fort Worth) Mentor Program for young professionals.

Kristen has been through numerous mergers and acquisitions through her career. She has played an integral role in guiding teams and transitioning through the process. Just a small group people or a large firm integration, they all come with their own unique challenges. It’s important to keep a level head and take it one step at a time.
